吃瓜网aring Week (10/27 - 11/2)
Inspired by the Jesuit mission of being 鈥渟tudents for others,鈥� 吃瓜网aring Week will highlight respect and care across the 吃瓜网 community. Through programs and messaging, students are encouraged to reflect on the impact of their words and actions, look out for one another, and help foster a culture of care.
Timed around Halloween on Friday, October 31, and the Notre Dame game on Saturday, November 1., 吃瓜网aring Week will serve as an essential reminder to celebrate responsibly, look out for one another, and be considerate of the broader on and off-campus community.
Kickoff Event: 吃瓜网aring Cards
Kick off 吃瓜网aring Week by stopping by the Maloney Hall fourth floor between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to write a note of appreciation to a friend, family member, or faculty/staff member who has supported you. We鈥檒l provide the cards, stamps, and mailing. Food from Wingstop will be available.

Professional Clothing Drive
The Career Center is collecting professional clothing donations throughout the week (October 27鈥�31) at 38 Commonwealth Ave (Southwell Hall). Items should be professional in nature, freshly cleaned, and in good wearable condition with no stains, tears, or damage.

Rolling Recognition

Bus Stop Breakfast
Start your day with coffee, donuts, and gratitude! Visit the South Street shuttle stop between 8:30 and 10:00 AM for Deans and Donuts on the go, hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students. While you鈥檙e there, write a 吃瓜网aring card (we will stamp and mail it for you).

Pop-Up Gratitude Card Stations
From Tuesday (10/28) through Friday (10/31), the Office of the Dean of Students will host pop-up tables across campus. Students can write and mail a note of thanks to a friend, family member, or faculty/staff member who has made a difference.

Wellness Coaches from the Center for Student Wellness will be in surprise locations throughout the day to distribute t-shirts and spark conversations about healthy digital habits and social media use.

Wrap up 吃瓜网aring Week by joining the 吃瓜网 Breakfast Club for a community clean-up. Volunteers meet outside Greycliff Hall at 10:30 AM to collect supplies and spend an hour picking up trash in the neighborhood. Volunteers receive a 吃瓜网 Breakfast Club t-shirt and a free meal at Eagle鈥檚 Deli, courtesy of the Office of the Dean of Students.

Signature Programs

Taste of Off-Campus
This is the signature welcome back event for off-campus students every fall. Dozens of local restaurants and eateries provide food samples, menus, and coupons for students to browse and enjoy. All students are welcome to visit and enjoy food, drink, t-shirts, tote bags, and great information about life off-campus.

Deans and Donuts
On the final Friday of every month, we invite students to our office for donuts and to celebrate the end of another month of hard work. We center each event around a different theme, featuring important resources, guest speakers, and raffle trivia!

吃瓜网aring is an ongoing campaign that aims to foster a deeper sense of community and embody the spirit of our shared Jesuit legacy. We facilitate events and activities that center on self-reflection, respect, care for others, and the 吃瓜网 community.

Breakfast Club
Show care for the community by cleaning up local off-campus neighborhoods for an hour each Sunday during home game football weekends. Volunteers meet at 10:30 a.m. and are provided with gloves, a trash bag, a 吃瓜网 Breakfast Club t-shirt, and a sense of fellowship. Cleanup is followed by a free and tasty meal at Eagle鈥檚 Deli.

Dinner with the Dean
These monthly dinners, hosted by our staff for various parts of the student body, enable us to break bread with students and hear about what's happening in their lives, from courses to life outside of 吃瓜网. It鈥檚 a fun way to connect and gain a better understanding of how we can support students.

Circle Up
Restorative Practices encompass a spectrum of proactive and reactive approaches that have been adapted from Indigenous circle practices, aiming to prevent and address conflict within communities. Proactively, they include practices that improve social connections and relationships. Reactively, they address instances of conflict or harm by centering the needs of impacted parties.
